This 8-hour class will satisfy all 8 hours of CE needed by New Mexico plumbers for renewal. The course will begin with a brief history of the UPC, and a comparison of the UPC versus the IPC. Then, we'll jump into the first few chapters covering definitions, administration of the code, and some general regulations relating to quality of materials, and more.

In Chapter 3, we'll discuss minimum standards for the materials used in plumbing construction and repair. It also covers some alternate materials and methods that may be used,working in flood hazard areas, handling wastes, and preventative measures to ensure the functionality of a plumbed system. Then, we'll look at the regulations for fixtures, fittings, water heaters, and water supply sources.

After that, we'll talk about changes to drainage, wastes, traps, and interceptors, along with Appendix H. Chapters 12 and 13 will cover piping and health care facilities, and finally, we'll cover alternative sources and rainwater catchment systems, which enables consumer to use recycled water systems, and solar water heating systems.
