This four-hour course opens with a two-hour presentation of every significant change made to Chapter 3 in the 2020 National Electrical Code® (NEC-2020). This is a critical Chapter, addressing the most central provisions of the NEC for safe and reliable wiring methods that affect almost every kind of electrical installation.

That is followed by a one-hour class that presents a survey of Texas Administrative Rules 73.1 through 73.80 that govern licensing and responsibilities of Electrical Contractors followed by a quick look at Texas Statutes §§ 1305.101 through 1305.303 that create the agencies, types of licenses, and enforcement tools for electrical licensees of all types from electrical contractors to Sign Electricians and Residential Appliance Installer.

The 4-hour course finishes with a one-hour class on NFPA 70E-2015 (Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace), the industry standard for safer conditions when working with electricity. The class presents the changes made to the 2015 edition of NFPA 70E, including helpful guides on some of the most hazardous situations confronted in the field.
