AYPO's 6-hour course for Kansas plumbers will provide an overview of the history and use of the IPC, before we begin to review the changes to the code from 2009 to 2012.
We'll begin with the chapter by chapter changes, skipping over that parts of the code that remain the same. Chapters 1 and 2 address the general administration of the code, as well as the definitions of important terms used in the code. After that, we'll talk about the general regulations that apply to plumbing, and the rules specific to fixtures and faucets.
Water heater, water supply, and water distribution chapters have also been updated, and we'll look at the changes to those areas as well. Chapters focusing on sanitary drainage, vents, and separators will be covered as well.
After we cover the changes to the IPC, we'll talk about how to be safe in the face of hazardous substances, flammable materials, and physical hazards.

Instructor Bio
Chris D'Amato is the instructor and industry expert for Plumbing Trade Courses. With over 25 years experience, he has held a Journeyman Plumbing license since 2001 performing all aspects of plumbing in new construction, light commercial, remodels and service. Chris manages his own multifaceted plumbing shop coordinating a wide range of services from Property Management accounts to plumbing whole subdivisions and providing services to large living facilities for the the State of Oregon. In his tenure at AYPO he has helped thousands of plumbing licensees keep up with their continuing education requirements.
