This course is the first in a two-part series that reviews the 2024 NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace. Utah Electricians can take this course to learn about the electrical safety program, 70E training requirements, types of PPE, troubleshooting equipment, and more.
Utah 2023 NEC Changes Part 1
This online course is approved for Utah electricians and reviews 100 of the most important changes to the 2023 National Electrical Code. Changes from Section 100 through Section 406 will be covered.
UT Residential Wiring (2023 NEC)
This course uses the 2023 NEC to explain general service installation requirements for residential dwelling units. Course material covers requirements for GFCI and AFCI protection, receptacle outlets, minimum branch circuits, and more.
Utah 2023 NEC Changes Part 2
This online course is approved for Utah electrician and reviews the last 100 of the most important changes to the 2023 National Electrical Code. Changes from Section 406 through Annex K will be covered.
UT Commercial and Industrial Wiring (2023 NEC)
This course gives Utah electricians an overview of 2023 NEC commercial and industrial electrical installation requirements. Course lessons focus on topics like overcurrent protection, branch circuits, transformers, industrial machinery, and more.
UT Installation Checklists (2023 NEC)

UT Installing Services (2023 NEC)
Designed for Utah electricians, this online course offers instruction in electrical service installation requirements under the 2023 edition of the National Electric Code. All NEC-2023 code changes and updates are called out for added clarity. Taking this course provides four hours of electrical continuing education credit.
UT Electrical Safety (NFPA 70E 2024) Part 2
Electricians in Utah who complete this course will finish the two-part series that covers the 2024 NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace code. Lessons in the course describe battery room safety, the hazards associated with electrolytic cells, capacitor safety requirements, fuse types, and more.
Utah Apprentice, Journeyman, and Master Electrician License Continuing Education Requirements for Renewal
Electrical Apprentices, Journeyman Electricians, and Master Electricians must obtain 16 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
- 8 hours must be on National Electrical Code (NEC)
- 4 hours must be on NFPA 70E
- 4 hours can be on the NEC or other approved 'professional continuing education' topics
State of Utah Electrical License Renewal Deadline
- Electricians are required to renew their licenses by November 30, every even-numbered year.
