This course is designed to fulfill the eight hours of code and law continuing education (CE) required for all Master and Journeymen Plumbers in Minnesota. The class covers every amendment incorporated into the 2020 Minnesota Plumbing Code, showing what is deleted, added, or changed from the model 2018 UPC. The final six hours of the class explores every significant change made to 2020 Minnesota Plumbing Code Chapters 2 through 11, 16 & 17 (the Chapters adopted by Minnesota). Every significant change made during the 2012-2018 UPC code review cycle is explored along with numerous more minor revisions. The changes are presented in a “cut-and-paste” format that shows what has been deleted, added, or revise, followed by a discussion of the reasons for the change as explained by the IAPMO Technical Committees, supplemented with information from the plumbing industry to help illustrate the effect of the change on working plumbers.
