Ohio Electrical Continuing Education Requirements

Ohio Electricians are required to complete 8-10 hours of CE per year.
Half of the required hours can be accomplished through self-paced online courses.
If you have a license that is on a 3-year cycle, you can take all 24 hours in a single year. You are permitted to take 12 of those hours online.

State of Ohio Electrical License Renewal Deadline

Electricians must renew their license before the license expiration date, every 1- or 3-years. Licensees enrolled in the compliant contractor program are able to renew every 3 years.
