This course of 16 hours of continuing education is designed for contractors in the State of Alaska who are intending to add the Residential Endorsement to their licenses. The course has been approved by the Alaska Contractor Licensing Section to fulfil the requirements for obtaining the endorsement.
This course begins with a talk about special building techniques for homes located in cold climates.
Then, the course will then examine masonry techniques, general carpentry, and fire safety.
From there, the course will discuss the special techniques for framing and roofing buildings that are located in Alaska.
To close, the course will explore several important topics. This segment will talk about rainwater harvesting systems, OSHA requirements, and the state regulations governing the residential endorsement.
