CE Requirements for a KS HVAC License

Mechanical licensees in most Kansas jurisdictions must obtain continuing education to renew their license and stay up-to-date with new codes & systems in the industry.

Our courses are approved by the Kansas Mechanical Trades Review Board, and they are accepted in the following jurisdictions.

  • Concordia: 12 hours required every 2 years; license renewal date is staggered.
  • Dodge City: 6 hours required every year; licenses expire on December 31, every year.
  • El Dorado: 12 hours required every 2 years; licenses expire on December 31, every odd year.
  • Emporia: 6 hours required every year; licenses expire on December 31, every year.
  • Garden City: 6 hours required every year; license renewal date is staggered.
  • Goodland: 12 hours required every 2 years; licenses expire on December 31, every even year.
  • Hays: 12 hours required every 2 years; licenses expire on December 31, every odd year.
  • Hugoton 6 hours required every year; licenses expire on January 1, every year.
  • Hutchinson: 6 hours required every year; licenses expire on December 31, every year.
  • Lawrence: 8 hours required every year; license renewal date is staggered.
  • Manhattan: 12 hours required every 2 years; license renewal date is staggered, every even year.
  • Newton: 12 hours required every 2 years; licenses expire on December 31, every year.
  • Park City: 6 hours required every year; licenses expire on December 31, every year.
  • Parsons: 6 hours required every year; licenses expire on December 31, every year.
  • Pittsburg: 6 hours required every year; licenses expire on December 31, every year.
  • Salina: 18 hours required every 3 years; license renewal date is staggered.
  • Sedgwick County: 12 hours required every 2 years; license renewal date is staggered.
  • Topeka: 6 hours required every year; licenses expire on December 14, every year.
  • Wichita: 12 hours required every 2 years; license renewal date is staggered.
  • Winfield: 12 hours required every 2 years; license renewal date is staggered, every even year.

*Note: Johnson County, Miami County, Arkansas City, Concordia, and Wellington do NOT accept online continuing education at this time.
