This 5 hour course covers the changes to the 2017 NEC Chapters 3 & 4 of the 2017 NEC. In the first section we will cover an introduction to the code-wise changes for 2017, calling out several specific changes or additions, such as in the introduction in Article 90, and how the NEC is organized for ease of use.

Wiring Methods and Materials is next up, and we cover topics such as the changes to the general requirements for wiring methods and materials, cabinet, cutout boxes, and meter socket enclosures, as well as changes to the rules regarding the different cable types.

Finally in Chapter 4 we will look at the updates to the requirements for the various equipment for general use that electricians will use, including electronic lighting control switches, switchboards, switchgear, and panelboards, and even the updates to code regarding fixed outdoor electric deicing and snow-melting equipment, which will be useful to the Maryland electrician.

This is the best online electrical course I have had the pleasure to take. It provided a good mix of high level and details. However, made numerous typo comments.
