CE Requirements to Renew a Michigan Plumber License

All plumbing licensees must complete a code update course within one year of each new code update.

On September 15, 2021, the state of Michigan adopted the 2018 Michigan Plumbing Code. All licensed Journeyman and Master plumbers must complete a code update continuing education (CE) course before March 31, 2023.

On March 12, 2024, the state of Michigan adopted the 2021 Michigan Plumbing Code. All licensed Journeyman and Master plumbers must complete a code update continuing education (CE) course before March 12, 2025.

State Of Michigan Plumbing License Renewal Deadlines

All license renewals must be completed by April 30, every 3 years.
Continuing education is required once per code cycle.
