This 4-hour course will provide Minnesota plumbers with 4 hours of their CE requirements by reviewing the changes to the Universal Plumbing Code between 2009 and 2012.

We'll start the course by talking about the history and origin of the Code, and we'll contrast the Uniform Plumbing Code with the International Plumbing Code, discussing the reasons for these two systems and how they are reconciled.

Changes to the plumbing code cover a number of topics, including how to resolve conflicts between codes, designing for flood elevations, quick disconnect devices, and the requirement to meet the standards of NSF 14, as well as new definitions for non potable water codes.

We'll conclude the course with a discussion of the section that have been relocated in the Code addressing rainwater runoff, joints, and flanged fixture connections.
