This 4 hour course for Montana electricians covers an introduction to the 2017 NEC, as well as a discussion of the new review process for the code. Next up is Article 90 where the code arrangement will be explained. We’ll also cover the code-wide changes, new articles for the 2017 code, and give a primer on how the code is organized.
The next section covers changes to Chapter 3: Wiring Methods and Materials, and looks at cable types, protecting wiring from physical damage, and conductors for general wiring, among other updates.
The last section of this course covers updates to Chapter 7: Special Conditions, including emergency systems, legally required standby systems, energy storage systems, and fire alarm systems, among other topics.
