AYPO offers this 16-hour course to meet all of your CE requirements for the state of New Mexico, so you can get it done easily.

The first 8-hour class presents every significant change to the 2015 Uniform Mechanical Code. The class covers approximately 65 changes to the 2015 UMC by providing the code language with clear notation as to what text has been removed and what text has been added, followed by the reasons behind the change and what the change was intended to accomplish. The goal is to help working HVAC Contractors understand the intent as well the specifics of the revisions made to the 2015 UMC, in order to better explain, supervise, and coordinate with building officials.

The second section of the course will look at subjects that will help you improve your skills as a businessperson, and protect your business from unnecessary risk.

We'll start this with a primer on digital marketing, or internet marking. We'll talk about how this type of marketing works, why it's so important to understand, and why you can't afford to ignore it. The lesson will also contain pointers and first steps to get started in digital marketing.

After that, we'll spend some time covering project management. Many construction-related companies ignore the importance of efficient project management, which ultimately drives up cost. We'll talk about some simple systems to use to improve project management, and therefore your costs. Next, we'll cover estimating and job-costing. This is another area that can vastly improve company profits when performed correctly.

Our final section in the course will cover the risks that may be encountered in the construction industry. It's important to understand these risks fully in order to implement and effective risk-management plan and limit your exposure to liability.
