There were about 700 changes made to the National Electrical Code (NEC) during the 2017-2020 code review cycle. Roughly half represent significant revisions, deletions, or additions to the NEC, and of those 40 have been chosen for this overview class. These changes were chosen because they're among the most significant, because they present a good assortment, and because they're particularly interesting to discuss.

The goal is to give you as clear a view of each change as possible, in terms of providing both a snapshot and an in-depth discussion of the details, with a focus on what all of this means to you. Taken as a whole, this selection of code changes presents a valuable overview of the revisions made during the 2017-2020 code review cycle.

This is followed by a class on North Dakota Laws and Rules, presenting a review of the booklet published by the North Dakota State Electrical Board (NDSEB), "Laws, Rules and Wiring Standards of North Dakota," as well as a full presentation of the changes to the 2017 NEC as listed in the North Dakota Administrative Code, Title 24.1 (State Electrical Board).
