This 12 Hour continuing education course is designed to meet a Kansas Electrician's Complete CE Requirement. This course begins with an introduction that discusses code wide revisions. From there the course dives into the new articles, such as Article 393: Low-Voltage Suspended Ceiling Power Distribution Systems.

The next section covers Articles 200-285, Grounded Conductors, Branch Circuits, Overcurrent Protection, and Other Component Type SPDs.

Next up are changes to Chapter 3 NEC, Articles 300-399, 300 - General Requirements for Wiring Methods and Materials, including Conductors for General Wiring,and Liquidtight Flexible Nonmetallic Conduit (LFNC), and Cablebus.

In the next section we will cover NEC changes to Articles 400-490, starting with Flexible Cords and Cables and Switches, in addition to Appliances, and Smaller, Portable Generators.

To cover changes to Chapter 5 - Special Occupancies, of the NEC, we will go over Multiwire Branch Circuits, Intrinsically Safe Systems, Motor Fuel Dispensing Facilities, & Spray Application, among others.

In the last chapter we will cover in this course is Chapter 6 - Special Equipment, including Cranes & Hoists, Elevators (and more), Electric Vehicle Charging System, and  Swimming Pools, Fountains, and Similar Installations. We end the course with a section on Solar Photovoltaic Systems and Wind Electric Systems.

Charles "Chuck" Price is At Your Pace Online's Subject Matter Expert for the Electrical Trade. He started out in grocery management at the age of 18 and after 5 years decided to venture into the electrical trade in 1996. He served his apprenticeship and quickly became a foreman running work. He gained experience in many facets of the trade such as working on traffic signals, hospitals and healthcare buildings, waste water treatment plants, and many commercial applications including telecommunications data centers. He currently is working for the area's largest healthcare system.
One of his passions is working with kids - and that starts with his own two boys! He has coached youth football and basketball at several levels and is part of a men's organization that raises money for the youth as well. He is a leader in the local 4-H group, helping kids learn about animal science. All in all, Chuck focuses on being the best father he can be, while maintaining a firm grasp on the ever-changing electrical industry.
