Washington Plumber Continuing Education
Our plumbing continuing education courses are approved by the Washington State Department of Labor and Industry (DLI).

Washington 16 Hour Complete Plumber CE Package
This 16 hour complete CE package is approved by the Washington Department of Labor & Industries. It will meet the 8 required hours of plumbing code, 4 required hours of industry related electrical, and the additional 4 hours of either code or industry related.
This course will cover the following topics:
- Amendments to the 2018 UPC, with Washington Amendments
- the 2020 NEC

Washington 8 Hour 2018 UPC Update Course
This course satisfies the continuing education requirement for Journey Level, Residential Specialty Plumbers, and Plumber Trainees to take a minimum of eight hours of Plumbing Code Update content, and is also accepted as CE credit for domestic pump and pump and irrigation plumbers.
Washington 4 Hour 2020 NEC Changes to Chapters 1 & 3
This course satisfies the continuing education requirement for Journey Level, Residential Specialty Plumbers, and Plumber Trainees to take a minimum of four hours of Industry-Related Electrical content, and is also accepted as CE credit for domestic pump and pump and irrigation plumbers.
Washington 2 Hour Rainwater Harvesting Course
This 2 hour course is approved by the WA Department of Labor and Industries. This course is approved as Industry Related credits. This course will overview the subject of rainwater harvesting.
You will learn why rainwater harvesting is needed, specific water needs in Washington, and the components of a rainwater harvesting system.

This 2 hour course is approved by the WA Department of Labor and Industries. This course is an overview on the subject of Plumber safety.

CE Requirements to Renew a WA Plumber License
- All Journey Level and Residential Specialty licensees must obtain 16 hours of plumbing continuing education within a two-year renewal cycle. These must include:
- At least 8 hours of Plumbing Code
- At least 4 hours of industry-related Electrical (IRE)
- 4 hours of Code, IRE, or industry-related Plumbing
- Plumber Trainees must complete 8 of the required 16 hours every year.
