Florida 1 Hour Advanced Building Code Course for Plumbing

This course provides certified and registered plumbers with the one hour of required advanced continuing education with a focus on the most important changes in the Florida Building Code, Plumbing (FBC-P). In particular, this class will discuss 12 changes, alongside 10 changes that were not selected as significant by the FBC, but still are important for the registered plumber.

This course covers the following topics:

• Significant Changes to the 2017 FBC-P (Selected by the FBC)
• Drainage and Vent Water Test
• Drinking Fountains
• Shower Lining
• Insulation of Piping
• Hot Water Thermal Expansion Pressure Control
• Non-potable Water Systems
• Subsurface Landscape Irrigation Systems

Each section serves to list and explain each significant change, to ensure that you understand how to apply your knowledge of FBC code to your everyday practice. During the class, there will be in-text questions to help you gauge your knowledge as you go. This course counts as one full hour of credit towards your education.
